Big Iron Jobs

While working with Royle Media, I helped design and develop BigIronJobs.com, a specialized job board serving the heavy equipment, agriculture, and construction sectors. A key objective of this project was to attract and convert potential apprentices for the Ironworkers Union, helping to grow the next generation of skilled workers.

I contributed across multiple areas of the project, including:

  • Designing the site’s UI and layout, focusing on accessibility, clarity, and mobile usability
  • Developing responsive front-end components to ensure seamless browsing across devices
  • Structuring content and call-to-actions to help job seekers find relevant positions quickly

In addition to the core website, I also led the design and production of a series of programmatic banner ads that extended the reach of the campaign. These dynamic display ads were tailored to drive traffic specifically from potential union apprentices and helped unify the brand’s digital presence across platforms.

The result was a fully responsive, content-rich website that successfully funneled prospective workers — especially apprentices — to union and job opportunities. The programmatic ads improved reach and visibility, while the website provided a clear, credible platform for job seekers and employers alike.
